Dr. Goldman

Since its affiliation with Lurie Children’s Hospital in 1996, the Children’s Research Fund North Suburban Board has raised more than $1.8 million to fund creative research in an amazing array of disciplines.

2015-2016 Fundraising Targets
In 2015/2016, the Children’s Research Fund North Suburban Board embarked on a new two-year $200,000 pledge for Dr. Stewart Goldman and Dr. Bradley Marino. We will support the important brain tumor research of Dr. Stewart Goldman, one of the nation’s leading pediatric Neuro-Oncologists. He is also Director of the Center for Clinical Trials Research for the Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine.

In addition, Dr. Goldman serves as a director of the hospital’s Falk Brain Tumor Center, one of the world’s leading centers for pediatric brain tumor diagnosis and treatment. Established in 1986, the center was one of the first of its kind in the nation to create a comprehensive multidisciplinary program, offering specialists in more than 30 pediatric and surgical subspecialties. Last year, the brain tumor team cared for more than 140 new patients and performed more than 100 surgeries.

A gift to the Children's Research Fund North Suburban Board will fund important research initiatives at the Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute. Currently the Children's Research Fund North Suburban Board supports Dr. Stewart Goldman’s research in the area of neuro-oncology and Dr. Bradley Marino. Help make a difference today!
