When is Corporate Cup?
Corporate Cup will take place in-person on Thursday, October 7, 2021
What will the event look like?
The event will be held in-person on October 7 and participants will compete in small group challenges throughout the day. There will be smaller virtual challenges leading up to the main event.
What activities will teams compete in?
We will finalize all activities 30 days before the event and ensure all can be conducted safely while adhering to guidelines from the Chicago Department of Public Health. Planned challenges include: relay races, basketball shot, football toss, spinning, rowing, obstacle course, tug of war, and soccer kicks.
How does scoring work?
Teams will receive 1 point for every $100 they fundraise, up to $1,000. After that, they will receive 1 point for every $500 they fundraise. Points accrued by each pod will be finalized 30 days before the event.
When should we register?
Registration is $3,500 for a team and teams can register until October 1, 2021. Teams who register by June 30 will receive a $250 discount and teams who register by July 30 will receive a $100 discount.
What COVID-19 precautions will be in place?
Teams of 12-20 individuals from a company will be broken up into “pods,” or smaller groups of four to five. Pods will safely participate in activities adhering to guidelines provided by the Chicago Department of Public Health for social distancing and masking. The event site will be designed to ensure all attendees are safe including hand sanitizer stations, gloves, masks, and distanced spaces for eating and drinking.
Additionally, our event location is more than 150,000 square feet, providing ample space for social distancing. We will coordinate the movement of teams to ensure a safe, comfortable space for your company. As you know, managing COVID-19 precautions and restrictions is an ever-changing process. We will share our final plan 30 days before the event to make sure you have the most final details and information.
What if my company isn’t comfortable participating in person?
If your company doesn’t feel comfortable participating in person, we will gladly refund your registration fee or you can roll it over to the 2022 Corporate Cup.
What if the City of Chicago is prohibiting events like this in October 2021?
We will hold a virtual Corporate Cup event the week of October 4-8. You can choose to have your team’s registration fee refunded or you can roll it over to the 2022 Corporate Cup.

How can friends and family donate to my fundraising efforts?
- Send them the link to your personal or team fundraising page, where they can make a donation online
- They can search for your name or team name
- If they prefer to write a check, it can be made out to Lurie Children's Foundation

Are donations made on my behalf tax deductible?
Yes, all donations in which goods or services are not received are 100% tax deductible. Registration fees for the event are not tax deductible.
Will Lurie Children’s Foundation acknowledge my supporters?
The Foundation will send a gift receipt and acknowledgement letter to anyone who makes a donation on behalf of a Go with the Flow participant.
How can I find out if my company offers a matching gift?
First, check to see if your company has a matching gift program for health organizations. Our Matching Gifts tool can be helpful in determining which companies match donations. Complete a matching gift form (available from your company's Human Resources department) and send it in with your donation.
How can I check my personal fundraising totals or that of my team?
You track your fundraising efforts via the participant center. This tool allows you to log on and review your pledges any time of the day. When a donation is made online, it is processed automatically and added toward your fundraising goal. Donations made by check or money order will be processed and counted toward your total within 14 business days after it is received by Lurie Children's Foundation.
Will donations made by check or cash appear on my fundraising page?
Yes, our Foundation finance team will add donations received in the mail to your fundraising page. Since we are working remotely, it could take two weeks after we receive the check for you to see the donation on your personal fundraising page. Thank you for your patience!
