Welcome to My Personal Page

Gannon's Groupies participates in the Run for Gus in memory of Brian Gannon. Brain was a patient at Children's Memorial, now Lurie Children's hospital for 19 years. He was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor at the age of 5. He had multiple surgeries, radiation, gamma knife surgery, and various chemotherapy treatments. As a result of his innovative doctors like Dr. Stewart Goldman, Dr. Tadanori Tomita, and the amazing brain tumor team at Lurie’s Brian was able to live an extraordinary life. He went away for most of his college career, and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois State University. Throughout his life he inspired others with his outgoing personality, participation in the Snowball program, as well as speaking at various events for cancer research such as Relay for Life, and the Torch Relay for the Children’s Miracle Network. It was because of the money raised at Run for Gus and other events that made it possible for Brian to receive the treatment he did and inspire us for 24 years.

It is my mission as Brian’s sister to keep his memory going and to help other kiddos like Brian have access to the treatment they need to live their most inspiring lives. So Join our Team Gannon’s Groupies, and come out and walk or run, hang out at the after party, and have an evening you won’t forget!
