Lurie Children's Make an Impression for a Lifetime

12, almost 13 years ago, I was a patient in need of the expertise and care of Lurie Children's. I experienced the dedication and commitment of all those who provide care to patients at this amazing organization. Fast-forward to now. As an employee, I get to be a part of the teams that are committed to all big and little kiddos we treat. Our family services department makes a lasting impression of these kids as they face a scary stay in the hospital. It's the commitment and putting the patient first, that leaves a mark on the patients and families alike. Your donation means something here: a smile for a kid that has little to smile about, a bright spot in their trying day, and a way for these patients to feel like kids again.

Here are just a few ways your donations could help:

$35 can purchase a Beads of Courage starter kit for a child with cancer.

$60 can purchase an adaptive toy for children with special needs and disabilities to use during play and therapy sessions.

$120 can help pay for one day of Skylight TV programming, the hospital's own interactive television station that broadcasts special shows such as "Story Time with Dot" and "Body Parts Bingo" directly to patient rooms.

$240 can help purchase two days of Rainbow Dog pet therapy for patients.

$500 can purchase crayons, markers, paper, paint and other arts and crafts supplies for patients to use throughout the hospital.

$1000 can help provide medical equipment for clinical trials to ensure children have access to the best medical therapies and treatments.

All donations are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged by Lurie Children’s Foundation.

On behalf of the patients and families of Lurie Children’s, thank you for your support!
