MRI Room Renovation

Please join me in making a difference for the young patients at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

I'm raising funds through Lurie Children’s Circle of Friends program to order customized equipment for the MRI machines along with custom murals on the walls, to be less intimidating for a child getting an MRI. These scans can last around 90 minutes in rooms that are sterile and cold, with machines that are large, loud, and menacing.

due to a pediatric brain tumor, I have had 3 brain surgeries and 41 MRI's with a majority of them coming before my 10th birthday. That said, I have firsthand experience with how intimidating the process is for a child. Kids are anxious to the point where sedatives are needed to calm the child down for scans where they have to be still for the duration.

My first goal was $7,400, which covered the expenses of the first MRI room at one of Lurie's outpatient centers, and was completed in October of 2018. That same month, I partnered with Revolution Brewing CFO Doug Veliky to raise funds four four additional rooms on the 5th floor of Ann & Robert Lurie Children's Hospital that will be renovated through 2020.

Every dollar counts when it comes to the health and happiness of children. All donations are tax deductible and will be acknowledged by Lurie Children’s Foundation. It is my hope that together, we can make a difference to help sick kids feel more comfortable with what can be a scary experience.

On behalf of the patients and families of Lurie Children’s, thank you for your support.
