About Run For Gus
Young Associates Board's (YAB) 15th Annual Run for Gus 5K Run/1 Mile Walk/C.H. Robinson's Kid's Race is named after Gus Evangelides, who passed away from a malignant brain tumor at the young age of 21 months.
By supporting Run for Gus, you are making a difference in the lives of thousands of children afflicted with brain tumors by funding:
- Research into the causes and treatment of pediatric brain tumors
- Service-oriented events and programs that support children and families in the hematology/oncology and brain tumor clinics, including Beads of Courage and spirit-lifting hospital parties that are wholly funded by YAB.
YAB is proud to carry on the lifesaving work of the Gus Foundation. Established by Gus' family and friends, the foundation raised more than $4 million for pediatric brain tumor research before closing its doors in 2006.
