This year’s race will start and end at Soldier Field and take place along the lakefront path.

Strollers are allowed on the course. Pets, scooters and skateboards are not allowed for safety reasons.

Packet Pick-Up

Packet pick-up will take place at Fleet Feet Sports, Old Town (map)*

*We do not guarantee t-shirts for those who register at packet pick-up or on the morning of the event. We will make every effort to provide you with your requested size, but shirts will be first-come, first-serve for those not pre-registered.

Grant Thornton 100-meter Kids’ Dash

New this year, join us for the Grant Thornton 100-Meter Kids’ Dash! At no additional charge, kids ages 12 and under are welcome to join us before the 5k kicks off for the Grant Thornton Kids’ Dash! Let your youngest athletes lace up their shoes and get moving in this non-competitive fun run.

The Grant Thornton Kids’ Dash will begin at 10:30 a.m., with multiple age groups. The Kids’ Dash will take place on the Stadium Green. No additional registration required.

Gear Check

There will be a complimentary secure gear check at Move for the Kids 5K Walk/Run monitored by volunteers. Your gear will be checked according to your bib number.

*We cannot be responsible for any lost or stolen items, so please do not check anything of value.*


We encourage people to come and cheer you on during the event. Supporters can watch you along the route or meet you at the post-race party on the Stadium Green.


Parking is available for $20 in the Waldron Garage.

Public Transportation

The Roosevelt stop is the closest ‘L' stop to Soldier Field (Green, Orange and Red 'L' lines). Visit www.transitchicago.com for more information.


Water will be available to participants along the race route and on the event site.


Restrooms will be available for all participants at Soldier Field.


An advanced life support ambulance will be on site for the duration of the event.

Bib Number

Please pin your participant number on the FRONT of your clothing. Please note: only runners will receive bib numbers with timing devices. Participants who register as walkers will not have a timing chip.

Post Event

Following the race, please join us for live music, games, and entertainment for the whole family. New this year, we encourage you to pack a picnic, bring your charcoal grill, and have a tailgate-style picnic lunch with your friends and family in celebration of your success!
